Assistant Professor
Dr. Anuj Kumar Pandey is a public health researcher with over seven years of experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating community- and facility-based interventions to strengthen health systems. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to understanding the architecture and functioning of health systems. An MPH graduate specializing in Health Systems (Monitoring & Evaluation) and currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Mahidol University, Dr. Pandey has co-led five funded projects in maternal and child health, including the nationally recognized SANKALP and SHRISTI national health research priority projects aimed at reducing neonatal mortality and stillbirths. He has also contributed to international research supported by the NIHR (UK) and the Thrasher Research Fund (USA). Previously with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, he supported states in managing public health emergencies and developing technical guidelines and SOPs.
Dr. Pandey serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Huddersfield (UK) and is on the Editorial Board of BMC Women’s Health. His scholarly contributions include publications in leading journals such as The Lancet Regional Health, two book chapters, and an edited Springer book titled “Designing and Evaluating Public Health Interventions: Unwrapping Key Concepts using case studies from India”
