Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – IIHMR Foundation

Role Overview: The CEO will be responsible for leading IIHMR Startups into its next phase of growth, securing sustainable funding, strengthening its presence in the health-tech startup ecosystem, and building a robust entrepreneurial support framework. This role demands a visionary leader with proven expertise in startup incubation, venture funding, and strategic partnerships to position IIHMR Startups as a leading health-tech incubator.

Qualification: Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to raise funds and secure strategic partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare startup ecosystem, venture capital landscape, and innovation frameworks.
  • Experience in scaling startups, building entrepreneurial networks, and managing multi-stakeholder collaborations.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in startup incubation, venture funding, business scaling, or leadership roles in innovation-driven organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Innovation Leadership:

  • Define and implement a long-term growth roadmap for IIHMR Startups.
  • Establish IIHMR as a premier incubator for health-tech startups at national and global levels.
  • Identify emerging trends in healthcare innovation and align IIHMR's offerings to meet market demands.
  • Develop new revenue models, including paid acceleration programs, corporate tie-ups, and innovation labs.

Fundraising & Financial Sustainability:

  • Secure funding through venture capital, government grants, corporate partnerships, and industry collaborations.
  • Develop financial models to ensure long-term sustainability and revenue generation.
  • Build relationships with investors, donors, and stakeholders to expand financial resources.
  • Optimize resource allocation for maximum impact and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Startup Acceleration & Portfolio Growth:

  • Design and execute structured incubation and acceleration programs for early-stage health-tech startups.
  • Provide mentorship and access to market, funding, and regulatory support.
  • Evaluate and refine startup selection criteria to ensure high-potential ventures receive support.
  • Track startup progress, enabling scalable growth and commercialization.
  • Foster an ecosystem of mentors, investors, and domain experts to support startups

Ecosystem Development & Strategic Partnerships:

  • Establish collaborations with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare institutions, and government bodies.
  • Drive engagement with research institutions, universities, and industry leaders to foster knowledge exchange.
  • Represent IIHMR Startups in key forums, conferences, and policy discussions to strengthen brand positioning.
  • Build a strong network of mentors, investors, and industry experts to support the incubator and its startups.

Operational Excellence & Team Leadership:

  • Ensure seamless execution of incubation programs with a focus on efficiency and high-impact outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a dynamic team of incubation managers, mentors, and advisors by providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Implement governance frameworks and best practices for effective decision-making and risk management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and impact-driven work.
  • Set and monitor KPIs for the incubation center’s success (e.g., startup funding success rates, job creation, health-tech impact).

Position: Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)

Role Overview:
The Project Research Scientist – I will play a key role in the “Rapid assessment of fertility trends, determinants and preparedness of state health system in Sikkim to address low Total Fertility Rate: A mixed methods study” funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The role involves leading and coordinating research activities, managing both quantitative and qualitative data collection, and collaborating with state health officials to achieve the project’s objectives.

Qualification (Essential):

  • MBBS / BHMS / BAMS / BSN – Honors or equivalent

Desirable Qualification:

  • MD / DPH in Preventive and Social Medicine or MPH
  • Ph.D. in Public Health, Anthropology, or relevant subjects
  • Experience in literature review, data management, and report writing
  • Working knowledge of statistical/data management tools (preferably Redcap, Kobo, Stata, SPSS, NVivo)

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Training in qualitative and quantitative research methodology
  • Strong data analysis and report writing skills
  • Ability to draft manuscripts for publication
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with government and institutional stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai and Sikkim as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate research activities in quantitative and qualitative data collection in Sikkim
  • Organize meetings with State Health officials
  • Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, and manuscript writing
  • Contribute to project reporting and dissemination activities

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 87,100/- per month
(Rs. 67,000/- plus 30% HRA)

Position: Project Nurse Mentor

Project: SANKALP Project

Location: Unnao

Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Remuneration: As per project budget and IIHMR Delhi norms

Role Overview:

The Project Nurse Mentor will play a key role in the SANKALP Project, implemented by IIHMR Delhi, aimed at reducing newborn deaths through strengthened research, programmatic interventions, and data-driven approaches. The role involves mentoring and guiding nursing teams, supporting maternal and newborn care activities, ensuring quality service delivery, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualification (Essential):

  • B.Sc. / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Desirable Qualification:

  • M.Sc. Nursing

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in maternal and newborn health services

  • Experience in training, mentoring, or capacity building of nurses and health staff


Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care protocols and clinical practices

  • Experience in quality improvement processes and mentoring approaches

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Commitment to confidentiality, data integrity, and ethical standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of maternal and newborn health activities under the project

  • Mentor and guide project/NHM nurses on clinical practices aligned with project requirements

  • Conduct training and skill-building sessions for nursing staff

  • Support the Quality Circle of the Labour Room in monthly QI meetings and development of action plans

  • Monitor quality of service delivery and provide corrective guidance

  • Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of project activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator/Co–Project Investigator

Reporting Line:

The Project Nurse Mentor will report to the Principal Investigator / Co–Project Investigator of the SANKALP Project at IIHMR Delhi.

Contract Terms:

  • Appointment will be for one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance and project needs
  • Remuneration will follow the approved SANKALP Project budget and IIHMR Delhi norms
