International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) Delhi was established in 2008. It was set up to bring international standards and benchmarks to health management education in India. The Institute undertakes education, training and research in hospital and health management and has emerged as a key player in the health sector over the past decade. The Institute offers a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Hospital Management (PGDM) which is AICTE regulated, NBA accredited and recognized as equivalent to MBA by AIU. 

Position: Study Coordinator – Onsite (under ICMR funded project "Sankalp: Strengthening Program Implementation and Monitoring to Achieve Single-digit Neonatal Mortality" - An Implementation Research by IIHMR Delhi) 

Job Location: Unnao, UP

Qualification and Experience: 

  • A minimum of postgraduate degree in Health Management, Public Health, or Social Science is required.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as SPSS/STATA/R/MS Office.
  • Proficient in report writing. 
  • Fluency in English and Hindi language

Desirable Skills:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience managing facility/community based MNCHN programs at the district /state level.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India.

Jon Description:

  • Work closely with government counterparts in coordination with CMO/ ACMO-RCH/ MH consultant / DivPM & DPM on implementation of SANKALP project in the district and BPM/MOICs/staff nurses/ANMs/ASHAs in the select block.
  • Regular training and mentoring community/facility level health care personnel and project technical staffs on project activities. 
  • Collection, compilation, management, analysis and report writing of all the quantitative and qualitative data of the SANKALP project during the entire phase of the project. 
  • Monitor the smooth operationalization of the birth and death monitoring system. 
  • Support the district team in the successful execution of the developed implementation model. 
  • Support the district in activation & strengthening of NBCC/NBSU/SNCU in the select block for the project SANKALP. 
  • Support in conducting quality improvement meeting with the QC committee in the select facilities, focusing on SANKALP project, under the supervision of facility in-charges. 
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with the project staff. 
  • At least 60 percent of the total time should be allotted for the field visits to handhold Implementation Support Team, attend QC meetings, district level meeting, liasioning with block MOIC, facility assessment, and conduct a direct observation of deliveries/ANC/VHND/PMSMA as routine activities.
  • Sharing of the progress report on a monthly basis to the line manager.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Line manager/competent authority.

Remuneration: 50 – 60k per month
