The Institute
International Institute of Health Management Research, Delhi (IIHMR, Delhi), established in 2008 is a part of the society for Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. IIHMR is set up with a mission to bring international standards through better management of healthcare and related programs in the country.
The Campus
The aesthetically designed and magnificently built campus of IIHMR is in Dwarka, New Delhi. The infrastructure as well as the facilities are at par with international standards and meet all academic and administrative requirements. The well-lit spacious air-conditioned classrooms equipped with audio-visual facilities create an atmosphere conducive to learning. The library is enriched with digital facilities and computer system. It is well equipped with textbooks, reference books, periodicals, print journals, e-journals and electronic gateway like J Gate, EBSCO, etc. The institute has an in-house gymnasium and a canteen facility for the student.
Objectives
- To provide hospital management program as weekend course, for developing requisite managerial and business skills in hospital management.
- To give opportunity to the working individuals who seek higher education while working to further their career in hospital management healthcare.
Course Benefits
By completing this executive program, the individual will develop the ability to understand the roles and responsibilities of hospital managers and gain the requisite skills for completing their assignment successfully. This course will orient them towards corporate culture, situational analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making in various domains of hospital management.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any Graduate working in Medical, Nursing, Paramedical, Executive position with a minimum of two years’ experience in private, non-government or government hospital.
- Non-Graduate Individuals with more than 10 years’ experience holding administrative posts in Hospitals.
Selection Procedure:
The eligible candidates will be selected based on their qualification and experience by the selection committee of
IIHMR.

Admission Schedule
Application form for admission will be accepted till June 29, 2022. The Selected candidates will be informed by June 26, 2022 to submit first installment of fee (50%) within 10 days. The program begins from 3rd July 2022

Candidates interested in applying for the course are required to fill in an application form, which is available as hard
copy from the institute. The duly filled application form should be accompanied by a cheque or demand draft of Rs.
1000/- drawn in favor of “International Institute of Health Management Research”, payable at New Delhi.

Program Fee
INR 70,000/- (To be paid in in two installments of Rs. 35000/- each in the month of June and November 2022).

Introduction- An overview of Health System and Hospitals in India.
- Module 1: Clinical services in hospital
- Module 2: Hospital Support Services
- Module 3: Utility services in hospital
- Module 4: Human Resource Development in Hospitals
- Module 5: Application of Economics, Finance and accounting in hospitals
- Module 6: Material and Equipment Management
- Module 7: Quality and Patient Safety
- Module 8: Health Management Information System
- Module 9: Legal and Ethical issue in Hospitals
Project Work
The Project work will be allocated in the 6th month and project evaluation(viva) will be in May 2023. The project allocation will mainly focus on candidates work area. Each participant will be assigned Mentor from IIHMR.
Study Materials
Soft copies of Study materials, module -wise have been prepared by experts and duly recommended by the academic committee comprising of IIHMR faculty and eminent experts from the industry. Study material is written in simple English and self-explanatory filled with case studies, self-evaluation questions and examples. Additional guidance to further reference material is also provided.
Pedagogy and Learning Schedule
Each module is one-month duration-Online lectures, case studies, group work, self-evaluation, assignments, quizzes, video presentation etc. Two contact programs of 20 hours each will be organized at IIHMR Delhi campus (subject to minimum 10 participants). Attending the contact programs will be optional for the participants.
The classes will be held on:
- Saturdays - 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
- Sundays - 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Two hours assignment shall be completed by individual participant per week as assigned by resource person teaching respective module.
Evaluation System
The faculty will be evaluating participants based on attendance, assignments, class participation and module wise examination.
Resource Persons
Experts from industry, visiting and internal faculty of IIHMR, Delhi will be involved in teaching /guiding the candidates.
Attendance
75% attendance is necessary to appear for examination in respective modules.
Certificate
The candidate has to complete the course within two years. The successful candidates will be given certificate by IIHMR Delhi.
