Senior Research Officer
Dr Anuj Kumar Pandey is a public health researcher with over five years of work experience wherein he has actively contributed by developing, implementing, and monitoring different community and facility-based interventions for strengthening the health system. His short professional career envisioned to get an in-depth understanding of how the health systems is designed and how it functions.
Dr Pandey ventured into Public Health with a degree in MPH with a specialisation in Health systems with focus on monitoring and evaluation. His professional career began with working in one of the high priority districts of Uttar Pradesh for undertaking Need based assessment of community for specific health related interventions, later creating awareness for increasing community engagement for better health outcomes. Conducting data analysis of different health related data and build capacity of the block/district/divisional government officials, reviewing performance of projects using M&E and program data monitoring, its analysis and ensuring use of evidence for program planning was some of his key areas of work.
He had worked in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India (GoI) in Disaster Management Cell wherein he was primarily involved in supporting states and districts in handling and managing Public Health emergencies. Largely, he was involved in analysing COVID data for prioritization of high priority district, drafting technical guidelines and SOPs.
He is currently working as Senior Research Officer and is involved in two large multi-centric and multi-country implementation studies in collaboration with Imperial College London. He has published various articles in national and international journals with one being in Lancet regional health. He has also authored two chapters in books of public health importance.
