“IIHMR, Graduate Studies in Hospital and Health Management is designed to equip graduates with the appropriate knowledge, aptitudes, and skills to emerge as successful leaders and managers in the healthcare industry.”

Furthermore, the program aims to achieve the following specific objectives:

  • Understand concepts and technologies in the management and construction of hospitals and healthcare facilities.
  • Develop skills to diagnose and solve health management problems.
  • Apply management skills in the planning, operation, and management of health care institutions.
  • It focuses on strategic responsibilities for capacity building and human resource development to deliver health services.
  • Understand and apply research principles to diagnose health problems and provide solutions.
  • Explore and apply new technologies and innovations in the healthcare sector.

Program Outcome

Upon completion of the study, students will be able to:

“Act effectively as a leader or manager in the healthcare sector.”

  • It integrates management concepts such as healthcare delivery systems, strategy, human resources, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Knowledge of the application of research and management methods and activities in an integrated way in the health sector
  • Use the appropriate skills to support healthcare institutions in making sound decisions in the planning, construction, and managing of healthcare institutions.

This program follows a two-year plan. The first year is one where all students go through the main course. In the first year, students must attend basic classes (not grades) that provide basic skills and basic teaching. There is specialized teaching in clinical management, health management, and information technology management in the second year in healthcare.

The first year

This course seeks to develop interdisciplinary skills in all health information management, administration, and communication systems in the first year.

The Second year

Students must choose three specializations in the second year: Hospital Management, Health Management, and Information Technology Management in Healthcare. The following specialist courses are available in the relevant streams:

Hospital Management

Hospital Management is a system where healthcare professionals take care of everything from patient registration to scheduling, records management, consulting management, laboratory management, clinical safety and reporting, staff management, hospital care, and much more.

Good hospital care begins with giving patients timely and timely access to high-quality health care. Hospitals and clinics strive to provide quality care, but it can be difficult to achieve all of the above without proper planning and procedures.

Health Management

Health management is as the name suggests. It is the complete management of a clinic, such as a hospital. The director of health care is responsible for ensuring that health care works as it should about budget, employee goals, and community needs. A healthcare manager oversees the day-to-day running of the institution.

Healthcare Information Technology Management

Health information technology Management (HITM) is health technology, well-defined information technology, applied to health and wellness. It facilitates health information management through computer systems and the exchange of health information between customers, importers, payers, and healthcare providers.
